Various things to entertain you

It’s late. You’re up. It’s finals week so instead of the news let’s just do various things to entertain you.

Dinosaur comics: If you don’t read this series already, you are missing out. Here’s the latest installment.

RIP, Maurice Sendak
Where the Wild Things Are is one of the first stories I remember having read to me at bedtime as a child. It was amazing. Yesterday, its author, Maurice Sendak, died at 83. Here is some “man on the street” reaction, courtesy of The Onion.

And here is Christopher Walken reading Where the Wild Things Are. It’s worth watching for Walken’s improvised descriptions of the illustrations alone.

Actual(ly entertaining) news
It’s true, but it’s still amusing. Michele Bachmann is now eligible to run for office in Switzerland, and a federal inmate stole nearly a third of the vote from President Obama in tonight’s West Virginia Democratic primary.

Settlers of Catan
Do you play board games? These people do, and while they perhaps take it a little too seriously, it still makes for a pretty interesting ten minutes of film.
