Tupac’s going on tour, and Oprah came to campus again (sort of)

It’s late. You’re up. All of that appeasing to the weather gods sure payed off in the end, didn’t it? If only I could say the same for exams…

Campus Events:

Earlier this week, Barnard held a screening of the “Oprah’s Next Chapter” episode that the talk show host recently filmed here. Check out a slideshow of the event here.

Actual News:

For the first time since 1977, no novel was deemed worthy of the year’s Pulitzer Prize in fiction. Dramaaaaaaaa.

A new study finds that the poverty rate in NYC aloneĀ rose by about 100,000 people last year.

Mitt Romney failed to file his taxes in time for today’s deadline, and Rick Santorum refuses to stand behind him for president.

Afghan security forces took the lead in responding to a coordinated wave of assaults in Kabul earlier today.

Have you heard about Tupac’s resurrection at Coachella this weekend? Even if you missed out, there may be a chance to catch him on tour later this year.

…and a funny video:

Would you rather be late to your 9 a.m. or have your pet cat make sure you’re up each day… by 5 a.m.?

Oprah would ne’er come here until the spec changes its name to The Oprah, which will not happen because the spec is patently run by a bunch of sadistic pygmy gypsys that pander their paper without cause.
