This is your brain on ‘reading week’

It’s late. You’re up. Summer is only a few short days away, but unfortunately this is only the beginning of the end.

Actual News:

Today is May Day: …which means civil unrest all throughout the city. If you were just wondering how you would fit joining the good fight with Occupy Wall Street into your study schedule, look no further—here is a comprehensive list of all the planned events throughout NYC.

Money, Money, Money: The Columbia Journalism School just scored $2 million in funding for new research in digital journalism.

Obama vs. Romney: Last year’s Osama Bin Laden raid has recently become a talking point in this year’s election, with Romney maintaining that “even Jimmy Carter” would have followed the same steps as President Obama.

Study Tools:

If you’re a freshman who needs a little more review for your upcoming finals, you’re in luck. Residential Life has organized several finals review sessions in the freshman dorms this week. Check out the event and schedule on Facebook. If you’re not a freshman? Well… there’s always Squashed Philosophers.

Procrastination:

Here are .gifs of Anderson Cooper and that 37-pound cat everyone’s been talking about lately.

Inspiration:

For your enjoyment/weeping, an awesome rendition of our school’s alma mater “Roar, Lion, Roar” from the 118th Varsity Show.
