See these guys in speedos!
Tomorrow night, the sisters of Delta Gamma are hosting Anchor Splash, a school-wide pool party for philanthropy in which men of the Greek and athletic communities will be participating in synchronized swimming routines and relay races. Spectrum decided to ask some of the contestants hard-hitting questions on the intricacies of synchronized swimming and wearing speedos.
Without further ado, meet three brave souls, who will be strutting their stuff whilst wowing us with their graceful serenity and fluid movements in Uris pool tomorrow night!
Colton Bishop, Team Sigma Chi:
1. What’s the hardest thing about synchronized swimming?
Ummm…. my abs for sure
2. Will you be wearing nose clips like the swimmers in the Olympics? If so, can you give us some tips for making those look cool?
No, the only thing I should be wearing in the pool is floaties.
3. Speedos or trunks?
Speedos..cause football guys have great curves
4. Who do you look to for artistic inspiration when choreographing your routines?
The DG women in my life of course: My mom (DG 82′), My aunt (DG 84′), My cousin (DG 11′)…DG blood runs deep in my family.
Will Krasnoff, Team Sigma Phi Epsilon:
1. Will you be wearing nose clips like the swimmers in the Olympics? If so, can you give us some tips for making those look cool?
Does a one legged duck swim in circles? Unfortunately, there is in fact no way to make them look cool, but donning some awkward headgear is a small price to pay for the avoidance of nasal injuries and the sweet, sweet taste of victory.
2. How will you celebrate if you are crowned Anchor Splash Champion?
First of all, I think you mean when. Second, we’re gonna have an after-party with champagne, ladies, fireworks, cupcakes, shows about cupcakes, cookies, milk, kitties, puppies, kitties sleeping on top of puppies, buff guys, skinny dudes, oceans, running on the beach, walking on the beach, starbucks, potluck dinners, Bagels, croissants, butter, goat cheese, a chocolate fountain, a t-shirt launcher and dancing babies. You do the math.
3. Speedos or Trunks?
That’s a clown question, bro. But seriously, let’s keep it suspenseful, come to the event and see.
4. Who do you look to for artistic inspiration when choreographing your routines?
1. What is the hardest thing about synchronized swimming?
The hardest thing for a bunch of dudes to do synchronised swimming is avoid looking stupid and most importantly avoid making contact with each other’s…you know…
2. Will your synchronized swimming outfits be as awesome as the Michael Jackson ones the Russian team wore this summer?
I think we’re going for colours as opposed to prints.
3. Who do you look to for artistic inspiration when choreographing your routines?
PSY.
