Remember CUVengeance?
Five days ago, we spotted a flyer in East Campus advertising a rather peculiar entrepreneurial service.
We sent them an email out of curiosity (of course) inquiring about their services, and today, they actually responded.
Dear ******,
Two things:
We apologize for being a little bit late with responses – there have been other clients (not to mention finals!) that have kept us busy. We want to let you know that any services we could provide to you will probably be delivered early next semester, but we can still take care of verification. In which case, on to our anonymous verification process:
Attached is a special version of our poster which we’ve only sent to you (i.e. there are no copies of this poster currently hanging on campus). If you could pick a location that only Columbia students would have access to (e.g. a library or a dorm) and throw up a few of these, you can then email us where you did it and we’ll check it out.
Cheers,
CUVengeance
Here is the file, attached in PDF format.
Initially, we were pretty skeptical about CUVengeance. Now, we are genuinely scared. It also raises several questions:
- Was the flyer we spotted posted from CUVengeance or a client?
- What the hell is legal harassment? (we have our thoughts)
- Will this be Columbia’s next Social Experiment?
Stay tuned (seriously).
oh my
This is absolutely terrifying.
this is msesed up
is it really a good idea to be antagonizing guys (or quite possible girls) who specialize in 100% legal harassment?
this is awesome. why are you ruining it?
which is more pitiful, that the service exists, or that people actually use it? do people actually use it? if you find yourself wanting revenge, you clearly need to move on with your life.
Harassment is harassment, and I would not be surprised if students file charges against these people. Are Columbia students looking to do anything to be arrested? This is not mature behavior in the least.
