‘Project Not Asking For It’ video aims to raise awareness about sexual violence
In this video posted Wednesday, Columbia students dance to music behind text that provides statistics and facts about sexual violence and uses the slogan #notaskingforit. The video’s description links the campaign to the idea of SlutWalks, and says that “no one, regardless of what they’re wearing, how they’re dancing, or their gender, is ever ‘asking for it.’”
According to the video’s description, it is part of a campaign called Project Not Asking For It, which started at Wesleyan University and plans to spread to other schools in addition to Columbia. See the video below, along with the original from Wesleyan after the jump.
