700 EC residents haven’t had running water today

Columbia announced last night that the water would be shut off from 6 am through 8 pm today in the EC, prompting an outcry from people living in the East Campus.

“We’re all really annoyed—we got no warning and it’s super inconvenient. Also, people didn’t know, so they used their bathrooms like normal if you get what I mean.” said EC resident Camila Marcone, CC ’15.

Michelle Conway, CC’13 agreed.

“It would be nice if they at least pretended to be sorry for the inconvenience. We got very little notice—they put a few flyers on the elevators yesterday afternoon, but that was it. And why does it have to be all in the daytime?”

Here’s some Bob Marley for you to commiserate with:

East Campus has been bogged down with problems lately what with the still unfinished entranceway. Annoyed? Vent to us in the comments!
