Detective who busted Columbia Five arrested for running a gambling ring
By Mikey Zhong
Detective Richard Palase, 46 years old and a 15-year NYPD veteran, was arrested today for running a covert gambling operation that reeled in at least 6,000 dollars every day.
Palase allegedly led the gambling ring while also doubling as an undercover cop in Operation Ivy League. Around this time last year, Palase, according to the Daily News in a feature back in December, was so convincingly shady as an undercover cop that he got the downtown drug suppliers of the Columbia Five to confide to Palase a plot to kidnap a rival drug dealer.
Now we know where that shadiness came from.
Two city firemen were also arrested in Operation NYPD-Find-A-Better-Way-To-Screen-Your-Officers.
Hilarious! What a jackass
This is no way to work your way through life.
Oh, the irony.
NYPD. NY’s largest gang.
He should have just fucked off.
Another crime that shouldn’t be illegal.
But karma’s a bitch.
It takes a crook to catch a crook… By the way, what happened to those guys? We haven’t heard about it for months.
motherfucker had it coming.
joy. but lets not stop here… i wonder who of his coworkers knew about this? it’s a 6,000/night ring; who played? fire em all with the same glee they got 3 houses evicted.
god. this continueth.
I knew Richard Palase personally, and he’s a good guy. and like, all the students should rally for him because he didn’t deserve it, jail and all. and we should all pray for him!………..
SIKEEEEEE. FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Palase should of taken lessons from Bollinger and Kasdin….those two are criminals but never get caught, they now how to do it.
