BREAKING: CU Charge wins CCSC Elections, Frouman, Santana earn Senate spots
CU Charge will fill up the CCSC Executive Board next year. Aki Terasaki will be CCSC President, Ryan Cho VP Policy, Kevin Zhai VP Funding, Jasmine Senior VP Campus Life, and Virat Gupta VP Communications. Congratulations to CU Charge! The full voting tallies are available here.
Approximately 45 percent of Columbia College voted, which is the highest turnout of past few years.
For the first round, more people (606) picked Better Columbia as their first choice than CU Charge (578). However, since Executive Board tickets are selected through a run-off system, this means that all of UniteCU’s voters (486), were alloted to each ticket’s second choice, which allowed CU Charge to narrowly emerge victorious.

It’s not like Alex Frouman was campaigning ON THE STEPS, right in front of the voting booths or anything…..
Weren’t the “voting booths” just everyone’s computers?
CCSC and ESC had a tent up on Low Plaza with laptops to vote during the first day of voting. Alex Frouman was volunteering at the event. So in effect, he was campaigning.
Nope, we (all ccsc candidates) were told we had to participate in the voting kick-off event, it was in the rules.
Yes, but he was campaigning while volunteering, which is 100% against the rules. Guess some people are above them, though!
