Murder charges: Two Maryland doctors have been charged with murder after authorities found 35 fetuses being kept in a freezer in their clinic. The murder charges stem from botched abortions.

Don’t ask, don’t tell: To keep crime down, the NYPD allegedly tries to convince victims not to file police reports. Sadly, this is not all that unusual a tactic: The Baltimore Police Department was caught doing the same thing with rape victims in 2010, and other cities have been accused of using this method as well.

The subway is weird: Gothamist has the top ten viral subway videos of 2011. Some are funny, some are horrifying, but all confirm one basic fact: the subway is a bizarre place.

Me, if I were a burglar: Some guy broke into a Coney Island candy store and stole some money, but also lots of candy.
