Race to the finish

The Panhellenic Council just announced that Alpha Omicron Pi and Gamma Phi Beta will be the newest sororities to open at Columbia. Last week Yasmin Gagne reported that these sororities as well as Kappa Kappa Gamma and Zeta Tau Alpha were competing to start a chapter. Check out these cool promotional materials from each to see if you agree with the decision!

Do these councils think this is some sort of a RACE to split the ribbon (representing the columbia community) in half!?!? Spec I know u dont have standards but dont u think encouraging divisiveness is the last thing to do. we need to all come together, and at specsucks we say NO to believe in fraternetys that will split us apart!

This is very true, it is the fraternetys that are driving wedges between us like wedges of wood in our soles.

Hi guys, illustrator here! That was certainly not the intent of the drawing, and I’m sorry it was perceived that way. The ribbon was not meant to represent the Columbia community, but rather the two sorority spots, as denoted by the two Columbia crowns on the ribbon. I tried to portray the figurative sororities in a friendly competition, not in an overly aggressive, divisive race.
