Street fairs, jazz wear, and Atlantic air, oh my!
As summer winds down, there are a couple things that will wind down with it, and one of them is street fairs. Despite the attraction of the Union Square Holiday Market and such, there’s just nothing like a street fair in the sunshine.
This week’s lead is about Brooklyn’s Atlantic Antic Festival, which Emily Neil writes is akin to “a block party on steroids.” Atlantic Antic is the largest street festival in New York, and it’s from 12-6 p.m. this weekend.
Neighborhood Watch features a beautiful interactive map and some great picks of Atlantic Avenue, if you can’t make it there for the street fair.
How does a Miso-Maple or Blueberry Rosemary Lime donut sound to you? If you’re inclined toward either the avant-garde or donuts, then head to Dough Loco for a delicious dose of both.
All that glitters is not gold, but you can still find all that glitters at the Bard Graduate Center’s new exhibit featuring Jazz Age clothing.
