Stranded Columbia violinist makes sweet, sweet music at airport

Due to Iceland’s pesky smoke and ash, virtuouso violinist Eric Silberger, a third year in the Barnard-Columbia-Juilliard joint degree program and president of the Columbia Classical Performers, will not make it to Norway to represent the US in the 2010 Menuhin Violin Competition. But don’t feel bad for him, because he’s doing the next best thing: holding an impromptu concert for the other grumps stuck in Newark. Pictures of the bumpin’ New Jersey performance after the jump.

We spy a fangirl in the making:
this is a sweet story

you guys spelled Julliard incorrectly…nice
Fixed! Thanks
ironically, so did you.

Canadian violinist Boson Mo
Go Eric!
Go Eric! And Go Canada! =D
