Macklemore cancels appearance at Williams
According to the Williams College student newspaper, Macklemore has canceled his appearance at Williams, which was originally planned for April 14, the day after Bacchanal.
The article also mentions that Macklemore has canceled his Columbia performance but does not provide a source for this information. Spectator was unable to verify whether Macklemore’s agents issued the same announcement to Columbia as they did to Williams.
Bacchanal Publicity Chair Anaïs Ross, CC ’15, declined to comment Sunday evening. The committee is not scheduled to announce the Bacchanal headliner until April 1.
From the Williams article:
Yesterday Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, the act intended to headline the College’s spring fling, called off their agreement to perform in Williamstown on April 14. Acting within the rights of their contracts, the duo canceled their performances both at the College and at Columbia (scheduled for April 13) in order to perform on MTV. Ben Lamb, assistant director of the Office of Student Life, sent an all-campus e-mail alerting the student body of the cancelation.
